L’Acadie
co- Artistic Director / Lead Producer, since 2019
Theatre L'Acadie is a Chicago theatre ensemble, named for the culture of the region of Louisiana from which our founders were born, raised, and began their theatrical careers. It is this emphasis on our roots that has inspired Theatre L'Acadie's mission to produce raw, unproduced, honest works of theatre that highlight the often ugly aspects of the human experience. We made our debut as a company in 2019 with 70 Scenes of Halloween (Review), and have since produced many Chicago and World Premiere pieces, in addition to our most recent and widely acclaimed production, The Swan (Review). With its PayWhatYouCan model, Theatre L’Acadie is committed to making theatre that is accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
INC. New Play Incubator
co-Producer, since 2024
(Previously Pocket Playfest) Inc. is a new play incubator that strategically pairs 6 early career Chicago directors with 6 budding Chicago playwrights to develop a new script over a dedicated 3 month process. During the process, the cohort participates in various professional development workshops led in collaboration with Chicago storefront leaders. Inc. culminates in a 2 week festival that is presented live to audiences as well as filmed in Virtual Reality, exploring how to welcome audiences to experience live Chicago theatre from anywhere in the world.
In Bloom
Reading Series
co- Artistic Director, Theatre L’Acadie / Lead Producer, since 2020
The In Bloom New Play Development reading series exists to highlight BIPOC, queer, and non-binary Chicago artists and their stories through intentional script selection, casting, and direction. Each play is carried through a workshop rehearsal process culminating in a final reading where playwrights get the chance to hear audience feedback, and bring their work to the broader Chicago Theatre community.
